I’m OJ (Oren if we’re keeping it super professional), a medical student at UNC. It looks like Joey found his nerdiest friend to help him with this one.
There is so much out there to support The Monday Life’s mission! With the help of Marley, a first year-medical student (and a marathon runner – no big deal), we read a whole lot to understand what has proven to help children heal in a hospital. It’s a scientific disambiguated fact – the hospital environment improves healing! We knew that our experiences with patients weren’t enough to prove this point, so we are presenting what the experts explain in scientific journals.
The Science explains what has worked in children’s hospitals to make treatment more bearable – or is it pig-able? – for children.
If you’d like to talk more (we’d love to…because we talk a lot…which makes others bored…like right now), please email science@themondaylife.org.
HAPPY MONDAYS!!
-OJ
